Falconry, the Sport of Kings.....come and meet the 'wise' owl (or not so wise), the speedy falcon and the sharp-sighted hawk.
For all children aged 10 - 16 years old. Come and learn the ancient art of falconry in the Blackdown Hills, near Taunton, Somerset. The Falconry Club will be both educational and fun providing a wonderful insight into the world of falconry and raptors. The aim of the Club is to educate young people about the role of Birds of Prey in nature and our world today - teaching husbandry, bird health, information about the birds themselves, skills needed to train and fly the birds, etc., and the wider environment.
I am collaborating with Neroche Woodlanders at Young Wood and bringing falconry into their woodland environment. Young Wood is a private setting, situated on the edge of the Blackdown Hills.
